Co-founded in 1997 by Janine Benyus and Dr. Dayna Baumiester, Biomimicry 3.8 is the global leader in biomimicry innovation consulting, professional training, and educational program and curricula development. Their mission is to train, equip, and connect engineers, educators, architects, designers, business leaders, and other innovators to sustainably emulate nature’s 3.8 billion years of brilliant designs and strategies.

 


The Biomimicry Institute empowers people to create nature-inspired solutions for a healthy planet.  The Institute achieves this mission by connecting people through the Biomimicry Global Networkhosting “learning by doing” Global Design Challenges and building AskNature.org, a web based portal for life’s solutions.

Terrapin is a consulting and strategic planning group for creative clients. A leader in biophilia and biomimetic design, Terrapin believes the built environment can be designed to help people feel and perform better through closer connection with the natural world.

One of their latest projects, the NY-BIG (Biomimicry Innovators Group) partners businesses and biomimicry research scientists to transform design processes, products, and the bottom line.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority is committed to advancing innovative energy solutions in ways that improve New York’s economy and environment.

The Global Biomimicry Network

The Biomimicry Global Network is comprised of regional networks that have partnered with the Biomimicry Institute to catalyze the application of biomimicry worldwide.

Harnessing local resources and expertise, the Network attracts and connects community leaders from all sectors to advance the application of biomimicry within their region.

 


Omega Institute

Omega Institute for Holistic Studies is a non-profit educational retreat center located in Rhinebeck, New York. The host to several biomimicry conferences and workshops, Omega brings professionals together of all backgrounds and interest, helping the biomimicry and other communities to expand and grow.
